Agency Outdoor Policy Reminder: Children should be outside at least 2x a day whether rain or shine. In winter if the temperature is -20 degrees C with a wind chill, outside activity is limited and children will be indoors. Agency Updates
Our accreditation evaluation was conducted on October 12th. The purpose of this evaluation is to recognize that Its A Child's World has met the requirements for high quality child care as outlined in the Alberta Child Care Accreditation Quality Standards. The agency had two accreditation validators evaluated 3 day homes and the agency. This evaluation consisted of an assessment of observations and documentation based on the Alberta Child Care Accreditation Standards http://www.humanservices.alberta.ca/documents/accreditation-standards.pdf
The outcome of the evaluation is based on the consistency of evidence demonstrated for each of the accreditation indicators. The minimum required score for each accreditation standard is based on a value nearest to 80%. In the next month we expected the official results of our evaluation scores and will share with families and providers when we receive this report.
We will share that the validators were impressed with our program and expressed we were very successful in our evaluation.
We want to thank all the families and children for their participation. As the day home selection is random and the day homes chosen to be evaluated are not officially chosen until the day of, we want to express our appreciation and gratitude to all our day homes. The 3 day homes chose to be observed and assessed were Sham, Gladys and Fariha .These day home providers all did very well and we want to especially thank these day homes and congratulate them on doing such a tremendous job!
Thank you Everyone! Have a Awesome October!
