SHS-Annual Family Check-In for 20/21

Every year we ask parents to update their family information and let us know if your student will be attending a Weld RE-4 school in the coming year. Prior to May 1st, please log into your Campus Portal Parent account to complete the Annual Family Check-In.

After logging into the parent portal:

  1. Message Center on the left; scroll to the bottom and click “More”; click Annual Family Check In

  2. Follow the workflow to verify and/or update your existing information

Annual Family Check-In must be completed for each household on an annual basis. If you do not have a Campus Parent account, please visit our school office.

Laptop or a desktop computer are the best way to complete the Annual Family Check In, as the process is not optimized for mobile devices (e.g., smartphones).

If you have any questions about Campus Parent or the Annual Family Check In, please do not hesitate to contact us at the number below.

German Corner

When I tell my students to “look up the meaning of that word in your dictionaries”, they immediately reach for their phones and Google. My language upbringing was more “primitive”, however, and involved actual published paper dictionaries. One of my most “beloved” books was my Duden German Language Dictionary which I bought in German while a student. Konrad Duden (the dictionary’s namesake) was a linguist, teacher, and publisher who devoted his life to the preparation of a unified system for the correct use of the German language. His 1880 dictionary represents the start of the Duden series and included 28,000 words on 187 pages. In 1902, the German parliamentary upper house (“Bundesrat”) made his rules for German spelling mandatory in official state documents. Austria-Hungary and Switzerland followed. One hundred years after his death, the Duden dictionary remains the authoritative source for German spelling. Danke schön Herr Duden!
