First Reconciliation Tonight
Tonight is a special night for students in the second grade. They will be receiving the sacrament of their First Reconciliation. During this sacrament, the children will experience God's limitless compassion. In receiving this compassion, students are invited to show this same compassion to others. In other words, "it is in pardoning that we are pardoned."
Please take a moment to say a special prayer for the children who will be receiving this sacrament tonight.

Students for Peace and Justice
The Immaculate Conception Students for Peace and Justice, (SPJ) was created to give seventh- and eighth-grade students who are interested in peace and justice work the opportunity to learn and implement specific principles of Catholic Social Teaching in the school community and beyond.
While promoting peace and justice are tenets of Catholicism introduced by Jesus Christ and his disciples, SPJ will use this opportunity to be servant leaders who spread the Word through actions and activities designed to create a community of peacemakers who will stand up for the dignity and worth of all and lead other young people on the path to becoming future Missionary Disciples.
Pictured is Sophia Reing-Hurley explaining the SPJ Group and Hunger/Homelessness Week to the entire school on the morning announcements.
