Classroom Activities
First Grade Fun Times
Mrs. Mears' class eating in the classroom with a friend for earning 100 Dojos, learning spelling words in shaving cream, and completing an alphabet scavenger hunt through The Herald during NIE Week.
Third Grade News
Mrs. Kappner’s students received surprise “Good luck” notes from their parents on the first day of IREAD testing. We were thankful for daily snacks donated by Mrs. Kappner, Mrs. Murphy, and Mrs. Taylor. Everyone worked hard and we are proud of their efforts!

Mrs. Main's class learned how to grow plants from seed in science Chapter 1.
Third grade students enjoy the beautiful weather as spring begins to arrive!
While reading I Survived the Sinking of Titanic, Mrs. Kappner’s class examined how the biggest part of an iceberg is beneath the surface of the water.
Fabulous Fourth Grade
The week before Spring Break, the 4th grade harvested lettuce that has been growing in their growing tower and had a Salad Party! Students volunteered to bring in toppings and dressings. Almost everyone tried something new. It was a huge success. Thanks to all the families that helped supply the fixings!
We won't have time to grow more lettuce, but Mr. Widolff's tower has 5 cucumbers that we will try toward the end of the year.

Mrs. Dearing's class had read about amphibians and created board games using amphibians and their habitats.
Fantastic Fifth Grade
Ms. Brown and Mrs. Thompson's classes representing cells in our body that work together to form tissues, and then combine to make organs.
Band Instrument Presentation
All 5th graders were introduced to band by Mr. Butler and Mr. Patterson. They were given a brief preview of the various instruments, as well as a sound assessment.

Over 60 students completed the coverall bingo for the Spring Break Reading Challenge. Awesome job, Students!!!!

Be sure to stop by our Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair in the library during Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, April, 16th from 4pm-7pm. Students will get a chance to preview the fair during library class. Since it's a BOGO fair, we aren't allowed to order items if something sells out, so be sure to stop by early. Also, students unable to attend the fair in the evening will have an opportunuity to purchase items on Wednesday, April 17th during the school day.
