Year 11 have focused on revision, helping them to prepare for their upcoming exams.
The assemblies this week have focused the importance of literacy and reading around the theme of World Book Day.
CAREERS
World of Work with Department of Work and Pensions.
Well done to a small group of our Year 11 students that took part in the "World of Work Workshops. Their last session was on Thursday, and they all received a certificate and a round of applause.
NHS Day
On 8th March our Year 7,8 & 9 students will take part in NHS Day as part of National Careers Week.
The NHS is the largest employer in Europe and the world's largest employer of highly skilled professionals. 1.3 million people across the health service in England are devoting their working lives to caring for others. That is one in every 25 working age adults, three quarters of whom are women. What better way can we showcase the amazing NHS in its 75th Year than showing our students the careers available to them from, HR, Admin, Counselling, Financing, IT, Cyber Security, Catering, Therapists, Training, as well as the more familiar careers of Doctors, Surgeons and Nurses. The opportunities are endless.
Year 10 Work Experience
Thank you so much for all the work experience placements forms that I have received so far. It is great to see the diversity of all the different jobs that some of our students have managed to secure.
More details will follow with regards to sign-in PINs to log into the BEP database to choose a placement for those students that have not been able to find their own.
We are still accepting "own placement forms" at this time. Please email these to me on ashea@chelmer.essex.sch.uk
