Wilder Elementary School
2019-2020 Year End Parent Newsletter
Greetings Wilder Families!
As our school year comes to a most unusual end, I want to thank our families for their support all year long, and especially during our school closure. Thank you for all the ways you helped your child continue to learn. Thanks for being a partner with your child's teacher and doing the very best you could during these difficult times. I think a really good thing that has come from this situation is the close "connect" teachers and parents experienced while helping a child to be successful. We are on a great team and this game was played on your field for some time. We hope to continue playing, on our field, when August rolls around!
Thanks to all who came out for the Wilder Parade. We were so touched by the appreciation shown with signs, decorated vehicles, and (most of all) the SMILES of our students. I did a rough count and figured we had at least 75 students, and perhaps more, take part. That was awesome. The link below will bring you to the parade video.
Have a great summer! Stay safe and well!
Sincerely,
Leslie Wiegandt
Principal
Device and Materials Return Schedule
We will use a "Drive Up" process. At the first stop, we will collect materials. Please place all items in a grocery bag (or one will be handed to you). Be prepared to show staff each item as they check them off as "returned".
At your scheduled time, your child's classroom teacher will be at the second "stop" of our Drive Up process to say "goodbye" and distribute year end items, if any, to your child. Please note that we will all need to maintain a social distance of at least six feet, wear face marks, and use frequent hand sanitizing through this process.
The schedule for device returns is as follows:
TUESDAY, MAY 26:
8:00 - 10:00 am -- Ms. Bosman's Class (K) and Mrs. Johnson's Class (1)
2:00 - 4:00 pm -- Ms. Chaput's Class (2) and Mrs. Tweten's Class (2)
WEDNESDAY, MAY 27:
8:00 - 10:00 am -- Mrs. Higginbotham's Class (3) and Mr. O'Connor's Class (4)
2:00 - 4:00 pm -- Mr. Boemann's Class (4/5) and Mrs. King's Class (5)
If you need to schedule an alternate time to drop off materials, please contact the Wilder office at 701-746-2320.
Any items not returned by Thursday will need to be returned to the Mark Sanford Education Center. Please avoid a fine or greater charge by returning the device next week. Thanks!
