Our specialist staff will also be on hand to connect with parents/caregivers. This will not be a time for an individual conference but rather a chance to meet our CFB providers. The link below is a list of providers and their locations within the school. Maps will be available throughout the school for reference as well.

Returning Student Contact Information - VERY IMPORTANT

You received an email last week asking that you update your Returning Student Contact Information. This is important information for us to have for the safety of your student(s). Please complete this form in a timely manner. Once you fill out this form, you will receive a confirmation of completion. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Liberty at cliberty@millisschools.org.

Morning Arrival - Drop-off Update

We are sure you have noticed the Orange Stations in our drop-off lane next to the school. These were placed to increase student safety. Cars should not be passing one another in the morning at drop-off times. This is very unsafe for students and families.

Vehicles may enter the drop-off loop to begin the lineup at 8:10 am. Students should remain in their vehicles until staff are present to greet them at 8:20 am.

2023-2024 HSA Survey

The CFB Home and School Association is looking to get your feedback as they begin to plan for this year's meetings. Please take a moment to complete the HSA Survey by clicking on the text in the box above. Your input is important!

From the Nurses' Office - Vision and Hearing Screenings

Vision and Hearing Screenings will begin soon. These screenings are conducted according to guidelines provided by MDPH. A referral letter will be sent home if the student does not meet the screening parameters, and will recommend an evaluation by the student's physician.

  • Vision screening is performed in grades PK, K-5
  • Hearing screening is performed in grades K-3
  • Postural screening is performed in grade 5
  • Heights and weights are performed in grade 1 and grade 4

If you wish to opt your student out of the health screenings, you are required to send a handwritten note or email to Mrs. Kavanagh at kkavanagh@millisschools.org.

CORI Forms

If you are volunteering or visiting in a classroom or elsewhere in CFB, you will need to complete a CORI Form before coming to the school. Please visit the Superintendent’s office located at the high school next to the gym to complete a CORI form.

Picture Day - October 12th

Orders may be placed by completing the order forms or online at www.coffeepond.com

If your family is in need of assistance with photos, please contact Mrs. Annunziato, school counselor, at (508) 376-7000 ext 568 or email her at kannunziato@millisschools.org Her voicemail is confidential, and you can leave any information regarding your circumstances.

MBTA Community Zoning

You may have already heard that Millis has been working on adopting the state’s 3A MBTA Rezoning legislation. The law requires every municipality to create new zoning for at least 750 new units of multi family housing.

For nine months, the Town’s 3A MBTA Advisory Committee has worked to create zoning districts that will enhance the Town’s economic development and still preserve the spirit of Millis’ traditional housing design.

The Committee has created 3 possible zoning scenarios for you to evaluate in the SURVEY below. The results of this Town-wide survey will help shape the final zoning proposal that will go to the Spring Town Meeting in 2024. So, please take the survey and help shape Millis’ future.

Arrival / Morning Drop-off

We have noticed a number of cars attempting to pass during morning arrival. Once you are in line for drop-off, passing is not allowed. This is for the safety of our students and staff. You will notice orange cones in the loop beginning tomorrow to aid in maintaining a single line during our arrival time. Thank you for your attention to the safety matter.

Covid is making a comeback. Just a reminder of protocols in place per the CDC/DESE:

Students who test positive must isolate for at least 5 days. If they are asymptomatic or symptoms are resolving, and they have been fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medicine for 24 hours, they may return to school after Day 5. A high-quality mask should worn through Day 10:

  • If the individual is able to mask, they must do so through Day 10.

  • If the individual has a negative test on Day 5 or later, they do not need to mask.

  • If the individual is unable to mask, they may return to school with a negative test on Day 5 or later.

Drop-off Loops

During the live drop-off from 8:20 am to 8:30 am, passing is not allowed in the parking lot loop and the loop next to the school to ensure the safety of the students unloading. Please be patient and wait for the line to move forward. We appreciate your help in maintaining the safety of our students and staff.

Dismissal

Please remember if your child is a Walker, they must be met Off School Property. There are a number of caregivers meeting their walkers at the front of the school. That location is not off of school property. If you are meeting your children on school property, they would need to be dismissed as parent/caregiver pick-up from the cafeteria.

We have water filling stations located throughout the building, and students are encouraged to refill their water.
