Staff Shout Outs!
We continue to be impressed with the dedication of our Forest Park staff to provide positive learning experiences for our students. We wanted to provide families a way to share positive experiences and/or recognize Forest Park staff! If you would like to recognize a staff member, please take a moment to fill out this Google Form. Winter Has Arrived!
All students will continue to go outside for recess even as the weather gets colder. The decision to have an outdoor or indoor recess is based on both the wind speed and temperature. Students do not go outdoors if it is raining or if the temperature falls below 0 degrees wind chill. Please encourage your students to dress appropriately as they will continue to go outside for recess. This includes bringing a coat, hat and gloves.
Youth Risk Behavior Survey
This week, Forest Park Middle School will take part in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey sponsored by the Department of Public Instruction. Students will be asked to fill out an anonymous, online questionnaire that takes about 25-35 minutes to complete. If you would like to review the questions on the survey, a copy of the survey is available on the Wisconsin DPI website at the following link. The results of this survey help schools and the community to improve health and safety programs. The survey is voluntary. If you do not want your student to participate in the survey please fill out the following form before 11/30/21 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email please include your student’s name and grade level.
Franklin State Champion Wear Offerings!
In order to celebrate the Franklin Football Division 1 State Championship, the Franklin Gridiron Club has partnered with Ideal Logos and BSN Sports to provide you with a wide arrange of apparel options! Please note that these are the only vendors that we are working with and any other offerings are not affiliated with Franklin High School or the Franklin Gridiron Club.
All orders must be placed by the end of the day on December 2nd. Unfortunately, due to current supply chain issues and shipping delays orders will NOT arrive before Christmas. We are looking at a mid-January delivery, but should anything arrive earlier than planned, we will make sure to get it to you as soon as possible.

Forest Park Athletics and Activities UPDATE
Please refer to our website to learn more about Forest Park’s sport and club offerings. All registrations for sports/clubs must be done online and all have a deadline to join. No paper forms will be accepted in the office. Each sport/club charges a $25 fee and this shouldn’t be paid until AFTER a sport/club begins. Fees should be paid online in PowerSchool once they appear in your student's account.

Youth Musical: Annie Jr!
Leapin' Lizards! Forte Theatre Company announces auditions for their 2021-2022 youth musical, Annie Jr! Students ages 10-18 are invited to sign up for an audition slot on December 3rd or 4th. Absence Notification Procedures
Like last year, we will be asking parents/guardians to use THIS FORM to report student absences. The attendance form is also located as a button on the main school webpage and under the “Parents Information” section.
This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. Student specific medical information collected by the form will remain confidential and only be shared within the health and nursing services team.
Visitors & Volunteers in Schools
In regards to visitors or volunteers, any person entering any school building during the school day when children are present for school is required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Masks should be worn at all times when in the building, and the visitor/volunteer should limit direct contact with others and maintain social distance (6 feet or more) when able.
Visitors and volunteers who are outdoors during the school day where students are present are required to wear a mask unless they have been vaccinated. Visitors or volunteers in the building after school, in locations where students are not present, are not required to wear a mask.
Early Dismissals & Late Arrivals
If you come to pick up your student during the school day, we ask that you do not enter our building but instead pull up into the circle driveway outside of our main office. Your student will be watching for you and we will send them out to your car when they see that you have arrived. If you are waiting longer than a few minutes for your student, you may call our main office to check in (414-529-8250).
If you are dropping your student off late for any reason, you do not need to come into the school with your student. Please pull into our circle driveway outside of the main office where your student can enter and check in. We will give your student a pass to class and update their attendance at that time.
Please remember to use THIS FORM for ANY attendance related notification including students leaving early, arriving late or full day absences. Please do not send notes with your student to notify us of these changes.
Dropping something off for your student?
In an effort to reduce the amount of interruptions to students and teachers in the classroom, most items will be delivered to students during their 3rd hour class unless the item is clearly needed right away (for example, the student's Chromebook). If an item is dropped off after 3rd hour, we will get the item to the student as soon as possible.
Franklin Public Schools is Hiring!
We are hiring for Food Service Workers ($15/hour starting wage, part time), Kids Club Workers (working with students before and after school), and Bus Drivers ($21/hour starting wage, other bonuses, paid training through First Student in Muskego).
