4-H Achievement Application - Due October 7th

The Nebraska 4-H Achievement Application is a standard application form used for the selection of county and state award winners, including Nebraska delegates to National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference, as well as Nebraska 4-H Foundation scholarship award recipients. To be eligible for county awards, you must have the application filled out and returned to office or emailed to krosas2@unl.edu by October 7, 2021.

Two versions of the application are available:

Junior Achievement Application for ages 8-14 (county-only)
Senior Achievement Application for ages 15-18 (state-eligible)

Fall Fundraiser 2021 - October 1st-15th

Support your club and 4-H council by participating in the 2021 Fall Fundraiser. From chocolates and snacks to meat and cheese, offer your friends and family an opportunity to support their local 4-H while at the same time getting a jump start on their holiday shopping! Come in to the office to pick up an order form!

Fundraiser is set from October 1st to October 15th. Make sure to have your order forms back into the office by 5:00 PM on October 15th! Contact the office at (308) 262-1022 or krosas2@unl.edu for any questions!

Morrill County 4-H Council

Council Vacancy Announcement: We will have a couple of vacant spots in our Council needing to be filled.

New 4-H and FFA youth members will also be selected to serve on Council, giving them the opportunity to "voice" their opinions regarding decisions made related to fair. The new 4-H youth members will be elected at Achievement Night while the FFA members will be selected amongst FFA members in their chapter.

Any adult or youth interested in having their name added to the ballot for the Morrill County 4-H Executive Council is encouraged to either call the Extension Office at (308) 262-1022 or email Katlyn at krosas2@unl.edu. The annual election will be held at Achievement Night on October 24th.

Halloween Bash - October 23rd

Bring the whole family out to the Nebraska State 4-H Camp for a one-of-a-kind Halloween Bash on October 23rd. Together you can play carnival games and win prizes, relax on a hayrack ride, and enjoy some yummy treats. Save $5 by getting your tickets in advance at 4h.unl.edu/school-year-camps.

4-H STEM Challenge

This year’s National 4-H STEM Challenge will take students on a Galactic Quest! Activities focus on the mysteries and adventures of space exploration. Students will explore STEM topics ranging from physics and engineering to computer science and space agriculture. Kits are now available! Learn more about this year’s 4-H STEM Challenge and how you and your students can get involved at 4-h.org/parents/4-h-stem-challenge.

Attention High School Seniors!

Get a head start on scholarships! The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers will award a $500 scholarship to one qualifying 4-H male and a $500 scholarship to one qualifying 4-H female who are graduating seniors in the State of Nebraska and who plan to continue with post high

school education. The scholarship will be awarded at the annual NAFM convention in

January. Download the scholarship application by downloading the link below. This scholarship is due to the Morrill County Extension Office by November 30th, 2021.
