September is here!
As we get settled into the year, please be sure that you are notifying the office & your child's teacher of any pickup changes and absences. We appreciate your help with this. Our office number is 630-719-5855.
We had a great start to the week with our expectations assemblies. Students were reminded of our rules: Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Be Responsible. We also reviewed our device policy. We reminded students that their watches cannot be used to play games or to text/call during the school day. If you need to contact your child for any reason, please call the office and our secretaries will relay the message to him/her. In addition, we explained to students the expectation that they let a staff member know if they need to contact you for any reason.
We appreciate your help with this.
While some classes completed MAP and Aimsweb testing this week, we are continuing to test next week. Your child's teacher will let you know what days your child will be MAP testing. Those reports will be sent home to you on September 23rd.
We ask that anyone visiting the school for any reason, please enter through Door 1. If you ask to enter any other door, you will respectfully be asked to go around to Door 1. This is to ensure the safety of all. Thank you for understanding!
Enjoy your 3 day weekend,

Curriculum Night- SAVE THE DATE!
Curriculum night is an adult-only event that allows parents the opportunity to learn what their child will experience in their classroom this year. Your child's teacher will review expectations and routines with you and answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to seeing you then!

Phone/Wearable Technology Use
While a student can bring their electronic device (including cell phones and AirPods) to school, all non-district-issued technologies are to be silenced and out of sight throughout the school day. Students are allowed to wear smartwatches, but they are to be silenced during the school day. The district-provided technology will be utilized for students to participate in lessons and complete assignments. Please be sure to go over the expectations with your student as the policy was recently amended.
Fruit/Snack Break
Please make sure your child has a snack each day. Snack breaks should consist of nutritious food choices such as fruits, vegetables, and other portable snacks. This aligns with Policy 6:50. The health and safety of our students are our highest priorities. Therefore certain snacks or foods may be prohibited in your child’s classroom due to food allergies. A daily snack can be provided for students who qualify for free/ reduced lunch.
PTA will be coordinating a spirit wear makeover! More information on spirit wear to come!!!!!
