THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!
PLEASE NOTE:
Class Lists: The process for creating next year's class lists has begun. A number of factors, such as achievement, behaviour, group dynamics and learning styles, need to be considered when developing these lists. Please note that requests for class placements are discouraged but may be made for educational reasons only. Please submit your requests in writing to our office by June 4 for consideration.
Community Report: This report will be emailed on Wednesday, June 27.
Tornado Drill: Severe weather is becoming more common in Manitoba. Schools in our division are required to conduct at least one tornado drill each year. The procedure for responding to severe weather will be reviewed with students and staff in an assembly on May 22 and we will be having our tornado drill on Wednesday, May 23 sometime after last recess. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child's teacher or the school office.
Lost & Found: Please stop by and check our collected items in the next few weeks. They will be put on display in our main hallway until the end of June.
Dress code: As the weather gets warmer, please remember that clothing needs to be appropriate for school. Beachwear is not school wear.
Footwear: Students are allowed to wear flip-flops to school but they still need to change into indoor footwear when they arrive. Caution: We have had several students injure their feet while wearing flip-flops. A more protective shoe is recommended.
Energy Drinks and Pop Drinks: Energy drinks are not permitted at school or on a school event due to the possible adverse effects on children. Pop drinks may be brought for lunch or field trips if necessary, but will be stored temporarily if students are drinking from them before school or at recess time.
Hot Lunches: As our hot lunch program winds down for the year, we would like to thank our parent volunteers who make this possible. Looking ahead to September, we know that we will be in need of volunteers to once again provide this option to our students. This program is only possible with our parent volunteers so if you are available and interested in helping, please call our office at 204-355-4663. Our students, staff and many moms and dads will thank you!
