Weekly Updates from Madison High School - February 12, 2020
It's Scholarship Season!
Every year a significant number of Madison seniors earn money for college by applying for scholarships. There are many opportunities that are out there for students from all different backgrounds, interests, ethnicity, family origin, etc. Sometimes students have to submit a short essay describing their accomplishments, career interest and financial need, but the small amount of time required by the student to dedicate to this effort can pay big dividends. We encourage all students to apply to multiple scholarship opportunities to make full use of their personal essay, Plus, describing your accomplishment is good experience for landing a future job. Reality Changers has good tips for scholarship seekers on their website. Seniors can check out the many scholarship opportunities on Naviance or sign up on the Remind app to receive scholarship notices from Mrs. Balzer, Madison's Head Counselor. Mrs. Sponix-Rust also publishes a bimonthly scholarship newsletter, Show Me the Money, which is available on Madison's website or in the counseling office.
