Summer Check-in
1. Please note our 1st Day of School will be September 7th which is a full day/full in person.
2. Please check your email and our social media accounts (Facebook & Twitter) regularly as we have been sending out important information regularly. Check your spam email as well in case you aren't getting emails!
3. As you are aware, the number of reported COVID-19 cases is rising in our area. The District adopted a preliminary Reopening Plan, which can be found on the district website, in June 2021. Since the adoption of the plan, the state and County Health departments have provided additional recommendations. We will continue to engage in the conversations and adjust our plans for a safe reopening. If you are interested in joining the Pandemic Team, please contact the Superintendent's Office at (609) 499-4600.
Genesis Parent Portal - Schedules
The Genesis Parent Portal will be open to review your child's student schedule for the 2021-2022 school year on Wednesday, August 18th. In order to obtain your child's information, you must first complete/update/sign-off on important electronic forms. Afterward, please use this extremely valuable tool to monitor your child’s grades, assignments, and attendance throughout the school year.
If at any time you have questions/concerns/issues with your Genesis account please contact your child's building administrator.

Community Food Pantry
Our weekly food pickup option is still available and the next food pickup will be Thursday, July 29th from 5-6:30 pm in the Riverfront School parking lot located on Cedar Street, which is available to ALL Florence families! The food pantry is open to any community member, you do not need to have a child enrolled in the district.

COVID-19 Vaccination Available -- 8/2/21 -
FTMHS 9th & 10th Grade Orientation -- August 19th
We will have a 9th Grade Orientation at the High School for our incoming 9th-grade students on Thursday, August 19th, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Also, given how unusual last year was due to COVID-19, we will have a 10th Grade Orientation on the same date from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Student leaders from the High School will offer their advice and support. Tours of the building will also take place, so our students will know where to find their lockers, classes, and other key locations in the building. Please print your child’s schedule via the Genesis Parent Portal and have him or her bring it to the Orientation on the 19th. These Orientations are for students only.
Kindergarten Orientation -- August 26, 2021
Roebling Elementary School is excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year! In an effort to help familiarize you and your child(ren) with the Roebling Elementary School and it’s wonderful teachers and staff, we invite you to join us for Kindergarten Orientation on Thursday, August 26th, 2021 from 10:00am - 11:00am.
You will be receiving notice of your child(ren)’s teacher in August via Genesis prior to orientation. After completing the required paperwork, click on the teacher’s website for more information.

All parents and students who are bused will be picked up and brought to school. Parents will be receiving a letter from transportation with the time and location of the pickup. If your child is a walker, please arrive at Roebling by 9:55am. Please enter the school through the Main Entrance in the front of the school and you will be directed to your child’s classroom. There will be a sign-in sheet provided. When all students have arrived, the students will be escorted to their classroom by their assigned teacher.
While the students are with their teacher, parents will receive a presentation by the administrators, our school nurse, and school counselor. At 10:55 am, you and your child will dismiss together. All families that were bused will board the bus and depart for home.
Please note that this day is organized for the benefit of the incoming Kindergarten students.
We respectfully ask that you do not bring siblings, as they are not invited into the classrooms and space is limited on the buses.

Fall Sports Registrations Open
REMINDER: 2021 Fall Recreation Sports Programs are all open for registration. Please visit the following pages to sign your children up for these exciting programs. If you visit the page for football, cheerleading and field hockey all three options will appear if you should have children registering for different sports. Rec Soccer currently uses a Team Snap portal so you will need to visit this page directly to sign up for soccer. We are in the process of revamping the township website and look forward to having one portal available for all programs.
