Student Example 1
Here are a few examples of excellent student papers!
The first student begins by saying that William Vanderbilt had a lot of success. Her thesis is "There is much to learn and know about the Vanderbilt Legacy." While this could be clarified to include her main points, this is a very good start!
After summarizing Vanderbilt's upbringing and family relations, she discusses his role as a philanthropist. She has clear topic statements at the beginning of each paragraph.
She has a very strong conclusion. Notice how she does not add any new information but summarizes the achievements mentioned above. Her works cited page looks excellent although it does not need bullet points or numbering.
Student Example 2
This student effectively begins with a hook to draw the reader in and swiftly connects it to the impact of Henry Ford on our daily life. She clearly states his importance of his background at the beginning of the next paragraph.
She concludes with the contributions to society and summarizes her points. Her works cited page is not formatted correctly, but the resources she choice were excellent!
