Newsletter for Brave Families Week of August 16
Brave Connection Issue 8.12.22
We are officially back at school!! It has been a pleasure to have our campus filled with BRAVE students again :)
Some important items to note for next week:
Our Back to School Night will be held this Monday, August 15 at 5:45 pm.
We hope you can join us to meet your students teacher and get an overview of the upcoming year.
The Career Center will be open at 5:15 pm if you need assistance with Canvas or Parent Portal access.
Tuesday, August 16 will be a minimum day - you can find the schedule below. School will end at 12:35pm with the option of a nutrition break from 12:35 pm to 12:50 pm
Our first HOME football game will be on Friday, August 19th at 7pm. We hope you can all join us. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at this LINK and we strongly encourage carpooling.
Every single Alta Loma High School student should have received a 2021-2022 planner in their academy (third period) class on Thursday. Please encourage your student to use the planner to assist them with time management and reduce the stress of trying to remember everything they have to do on a daily basis.
If your student tests positive for COVID, there is a link at the bottom of this newsletter that will allow you to quickly report it to the school.
Parents: All ALHS students have access to a tutoring service called PAPER Tutoring. Students can access a tutor for any of their classes via text any time of day and get help on homework or papers they have written for English.
How To Access Paper:
1. go to Login | PAPER
2. go to https://clever.com/in/cjuhsd (sign in like you do for Canvas)
I wish all of you a wonderful weekend,
