Career Ready FISD: Education and Training
The Education and Training pathway focuses on planning, managing, and providing education and training services and related support services. Students that choose to focus on this pathway learn about fostering relationships with students, creating valuable lessons and feedback for the classroom, and how to support others. During the practicum experience, students are able to go out into the field and intern with teachers to learn what it takes to be a teacher. Forney ISD hopes to be able to provide dual credit opportunities within this pathway in the near future so that students can work towards their Associates or Bachelors degree in education!
Students that choose to make Education and Training their focus have the following opportunities and future careers available to them:
- Educational Aide: Students that turn 18 before graduating will be able to earn their Educational Aide certificate!
- Teacher (Early Childhood-Secondary)
- College Professor
- Administrator
- School Counselor
