Boosterthon Fundraiser - It’s the WEEKEND! 🎉
The weekend is HERE! I hope you enjoy some much-deserved relaxation this weekend.
Thank you for every share and donation you all have contributed to our fundraiser. We appreciate everyone’s support as we raise funds to increase the inclusivity of our playgrounds. If you haven’t registered your student on mybooster.com, it’s easy to do this weekend.
Then, consider sharing with extended family and friends. And if you are able to, consider making a donation as well. Every share and donation adds up to make a BIG difference for our school.
If your family does get a donation this weekend, you’ll be part of the Weekend Challenge!
Thank you for supporting our school.
Steeple Run families, there were questions about what exactly our first ever Fun Run fundraiser entails. While this is our first experience I hope the information we have shared so far has provided some clarity, please reach out with questions (jlouis@naperville203.org & steeplerunhands@gmail.com).

CogAT Information for 3rd Grade Families
Last week our Steeple Run third-grade students participated in the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT).
The test results will be sent home in student backpacks on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Please note that results from this assessment are part of the third-grade Honors Mathematics identification process. For additional information regarding this process, see https://www.naperville203.org/Page/5308.
Parents, while test data provides us with additional information about the individual student, we encourage you to continue communicating to your child/children that test scores are only one part of the achievement picture. Children need to be assured that the work they do on a daily basis is the most important measure and there is no substitute for giving every task their best effort.
Steeple Run Safety Week
We conducted our first drills of the 2021-2022 school year this week and it was a huge success, thanks to our students and staff. Our students learned more about and calmly participated to each drill. We will continue to practice emergency drills throughout the school year to ensure our students are aware of all safety expectations. Please contact Mr. Ubben or Mr. Louis for questions.

Saliva-Based COVID-19 Testing
Naperville 203 has engaged SHIELD Illinois to offer free voluntary, non-invasive COVID-19 testing within our buildings. SHIELD has a diagnostic (RT-PCR) test that will be available to staff and students at school each week. This saliva-based test will be available to identify positive COVID-19 cases and keep students and staff safe. The intention of providing this testing is to maximize our ability to keep students in school and minimize instructional time loss.
At this time, schools are identifying testing locations and schedules for each building while minimizing time out of the classroom. Testing will occur in the school during the school day. Saliva collection will not be conducted outside of school hours. SHIELD Illinois will provide an operations partner with experience in the collection process in each school setting. Students will be tested once per week. Collection involves the drooling of 2 milliliters of saliva into a vial. Naperville 203 will be informed of results within a 24 hour period. The school will be notified of the results and will contact parents/guardians once results have been received.
For questions please contact Laurie DeKruiff at ldekruiff@naperville203.org
A few important notes that were shared included that students would never be forced to participate in saliva-based testing, families can opt-in or out at anytime (we would appreciate your help getting our lists as finalized as possible before our start in LATE-September) and this is completely voluntary, our intention is to provide this free service if helpful and wanted - all student participation is voluntary.
