Conference Updates

Registration

You can still register on our conference website and at the conference itself. The session variety is outstanding.

Sunday Schedule Change

Todd Whitaker will now be able to stay after the keynote. We will have some of Todd's books available for autographing/purchase (cash or check only). Registration and exhibits will also be available from 4-5 pm.

Parking

There is a garage with free parking immediately to the north of the hotel, with a skywalk on the third level of the garage that connects directly to our meeting room level. There is also surface parking behind the hotel.

Hotel Rooms

The deadline has passed for getting a room through IMLEA. Please contact the Sheraton North hotel directly. (Although there is no longer an official conference rate, if couldn't hurt to mention it.)

Books for Sale Onsite from $26.95- $29.95 (cash or check only)

This Week's Poll Question

Is your school doing anything for disaster assistance? Please answer in this google form. (Yes, we know this is not scientific, but it could be useful.) Feel free to continue any conversation about this on our Facebook, Twitter, or Voxer platforms, or email us to share what you are doing. If your school is just too busy to get around to it, don't be embarrassed to answer 'no'. We hope that sharing ideas will be beneficial to all.

Last week's poll question: 80% of respondents have 1:1 technology, and allow students to take devices home. (Click graphic above to enlarge.)

One Resource for Service-Learning Related to Hurricane Relief

Several schools in the Indianapolis area have partnered with the Midwest Food Bank. They have trucks at the ready and are able to deliver things that you collect (and it is more than just food). Shirley Wright has spoken with them; at this time they are no longer in need of bottled water. You can check their website for needed things or to contact them. If you can get collected items to Indianapolis, this is one way to participate without having to worry about shipping and delivery. If you have other avenues in your area of the state, please let us know.
