St. Mary's School
PRINCIPAL'S NEWSLETTER 3.5.2019
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope you'll be able to join us tomorrow for Ash Wednesday Mass at 9:00 am as we mark the start to the Lenten season. Throughout these 40 days of Lent, our classes will focus on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare ourselves for Holy Week and Easter. In conjunction with this holy and solemn season in our liturgical year, each class will be completing a service project focused on one of the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy.
On Saturday many of our grade 2 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Penance for the first time. Please keep our grade 2 students in your prayers as they prepare to experience God's mercy and unconditional love for them.
As we begin this season of Lent, let us be reminded of our need for reconciliation and a deeper relationship with Jesus. We pray that our entire school community will continue to be blessed with God’s abundant gifts of grace and love during this Lenten season and always.
Sincerely,
Mr. Beza
