Student COVID-19 Testing at Glenview Avenue School
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Bell Pharmacy to provide COVID-19 testing for your child starting January 25, 2022. Bell Pharmacy is the provider of our vaccination clinics. Testing will take place every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. The testing will be offered at the Glenview Avenue School in the multi-purpose room. Please enter through the Sycamore Street doors. Testing is available for all Haddon Heights elementary students in grades PK-6 (ages four and up). Anyone who wants to utilize this free COVID-19 testing program must pre-register at least 48 hours in advance. Please note that parents MUST accompany their child to the testing site. The link is below.

Once your child is registered, they do not need to register again. The parent will indicate their consent by signing and submitting the digital registration form. Results are emailed from the lab to the email address provided on the registration form. Please keep in mind the turnaround time is approximately 48 hours after the lab receives the samples Testing will be administered by an onsite nurse or a parent and consists of a soft nasal swab. It is NOT a deep sinus swab.
Cyber Safety Parent Announcement:
We are happy to announce that we are hosting our cyber safety parent night again! We are lucky enough to have a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security and a detective with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office to join us and present this critical topic on cyber safety for our students! We are so excited to also present this to our students for an assembly!
The detective will be covering topics such as:
1. Cyber bullying.
2. How and why to make your social media/gaming accounts private.
3. The dangers of meeting people online, not sending/asking for/posting inappropriate images/videos online.
4. Possible consequences of not being careful online.
Please see the flyer attached.

New Communication - District TEXT Messages for Parents
PLEASE CHECK - In PowerSchool, some parents and guardians only list their home landline phone numbers. We need cell phone numbers entered for this new feature. If you would like to receive these district TEXT messages, please make sure that your cell phone numbers are entered and are correct. (See the attached “School Messenger Text Messaging Document” attached, for details)
Please remember to follow these steps to ensure you will receive the TEXT messages:
· First, parents need to add their cell phone numbers to PowerSchool. (If they are not in there already)
· Parents can do this by logging into PowerSchool (from a web browser, not the phone app) and clicking on "Forms" in the left menu.
· Then, parents need to click on the "(AA) Student Contacts / SchoolMessenger" form.
· Parents then click on the "Pencil" icon next to their contact information and "Add" their cell phone number to the record.
· It would be very helpful if parents indicate the "Type" as "Mobile", so we can pull the cell numbers faster.
· Finally, scroll down and hit “submit” at the bottom of the page.
REMINDER - Don’t forget to follow instructions on the attachment to opt-in to the feature.
Elementary Choir – Director, James Whitescarver

The Choir will sing the National Anthem on May 6th, and the Spring concert is on June 1st!
