News Bites We Want to Share
We have two new Special Education Coordinators joining our team this year. We welcome Margaret Dyer and Kathleen Vierod. Please see the contact information for our Administrative team below.
Special School District's Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Department participates in sharing a monthly newsletter filled with information that we hope will be helpful for your family. This news letter will be emailed home through your case manager.
Extended School Year (ESY) and Universal Summer Support (USS) programs were held this summer. As a preschool program, we work to address developmentally appropriate skills. With this as our focus, we were able to provide many activities and opportunities for learning this summer. We feel that our staff continued to provide the level of instruction that we wish to uphold during the school year. We appreciate the feedback that was provided on both programs. This feedback helps us to continuously improve our programming.
Welcome Back to the 2021-22 School Year
We are looking forward to seeing all of the students and meeting with families for this new school year. Classroom students, you should have received assignment letters notifying you of your child's case manger.
As teachers return they will be reaching out to complete the "Honoring Families and Expert" communication conversation. They will ask you refresher questions about the best methods to communicate with you and your child's interest. Some of our partner districts also send out building-specific information.
Each partner district has a return to school plan that outlines COVID-19 protocols that each of our partner districts is following for a successful return to in-person learning. If you have questions about your student please make sure to ask your case manager/teacher.
