Room 35 Class Family Newsletter
August 23- September 2
8 days together...
Our first week and a half together as learners has been nothing short of inspiring! Your learners are thoughtful, caring, and excited 3rd graders who have come to school ready for greatness each morning. We've discussed what we think readers, writers, mathematicians, and scientist do as well as what we want our class to be. We've discovered two huge themes: all learners make mistakes and learners think about what makes sense! These are both ideas we will cling to as the year continues.

Quotes from our week...
"We are a class that thinks about what makes sense" -Naomi
"I love school now!" -Leen
"Mathematicians have back up plans when their first plan doesn't work" - Alia
We love to share books together!
Mrs. Umberger giving us a garden tour!
We were so excited to learn we would be helping the rest of third grade take care of Kenny's garden. Oh, we loved picking and eating tomatoes too!
We help make the world!
We read the book Making the World and talked about how we make the world. We realized that based on the choices people make they either make the world a better place to be or a harder to place to be. We decided we want to make our class, school, and world a better place to be!
