Daily Online Learning Schedule
This is a big change. How can parents help?
- Remind students to be logging into their Google Classroom accounts, as well as Gmail prior to April 1, when new learning will begin. This will help them prepare for what is expected of them.
- Discuss the daily online learning schedule (above) with students. Remind students this starts on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:00am with Period 1.
- After a few weeks away from school, students will need to get a routine established.
- Sleep routines will need adjusting for many students. Help students set a more reasonable bed time and wake time that will be more conducive to learning.
- Start reducing students' screen time now, including cell phones and gaming. This has been a big part of the lives of many students the last few weeks, no doubt.
- Remove cell phones from student bedrooms. Many students are on devices long into the night and even the morning. For some it might be time to invest in an alarm clock while supporting a local business at the same time. Kids often lack the skills needed to manage phones. Any adult assistance to help with the management of this is appreciated.

Finally, with the likelihood of needing more pictures for this year’s yearbook, we are inviting any GFC student to submit photos that they would like to be included in the 2019-2020 yearbook. The photos need to be school appropriate and should include you and/or other GFC students. You can also include a caption of who is in the picture and what the situation is. We will include as many pictures as we can. The pictures should be high resolution or large in size in order for them to be printed. Those photos should be sent to: centralyearbook@mygfschools.org
