Mrs. Roman's Second Grade Class


The 4th graders have been as busy as elves creating things to sell at our annual Market Day! Students can bring money to school in a labeled envelope or bag Wednesday, December 16th. Prices range from 25 cents to $10.00

HOLIDAY PARTY: December 21st

We'll be having brunch in our room from 9:30-10:00, followed by rotations from 10:00-11:30 (1/2 hour in each second grade classroom). We'd love for you to join us for brunch and rotations! If you'd like to volunteer, you are welcome to join your child in each room and help out with the craft in each. We need donations for our day to be successful. Here are the links:

What We're Learning...

Reading: Comprehension strategies: Retelling, Compare & Contrast, Christmas, Hannukah, and Kwanzaa stories

Accuracy strategy: Slow Check- Do the letters and words look right?

Fluency strategy: Read smoothly; attend to punctuation

Writing: Personal Narratives: Using a story organizer for the main events and details, using "first, next, then, after that,". Adjectives, Adverbs, and Onomatopoeia
