Young Professionals Community Group

This is a group geared towards singles ages 22-30 wanting to grow in their faith and relationship with God alongside others with the same mindset. We meet every other Thurs. evening at a member’s home and have fun events in between. If interested, contact Nick Griffis or Danielle Lynch at cccyoungpros@gmail.com.

Project Turkey - Donate to a family in need

We would like to invite you to join us as we provide food boxes for families in need who have suffered hardships and aren’t able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Due to storage limitations, we are requesting monetary donations this year. If you would still like to participate by providing food, we will gladly accept cans of corn, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, & French fried onions. Many thanks from the Youth Ministry. [click here] to donate online. Please select "Project Turkey" in the drop down menu.

Operation Christmas Child

The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift begins with you and results in evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication. Shoeboxes will be available on the plaza beginning THIS Sunday, October 23. Stop by, pick one up, fill it (suggested items will be included with the box), and return it on or before November 13. Thousands of children worldwide have been blessed by this amazing ministry.

KENYA ORPHANAGE CHRISTMAS

Provide a Christmas gift for a child in the First Love International orphanage in Kenya. We have 70+ children we would love to give to this year. Tags with the children’s names and pictures will be available starting Sunday, October 30. Stop in the lobby, pick up a tag, leave a check or cash ($25 suggested), and we will do the rest. Each child will receive the same type of gift, based on their age. Place the tag on your tree or refrigerator and pray for him/her all year long.

Hotdogs and Brats - It's what's for dinner this Wednesday!

Dinner will be served from 5:00-6:00pm. Please RSVP online or call Lynn at the church office by Tuesday noon. [click here] to view the menu, register, and pay online.

Hey there Ladies...we want to hear from you!

"MISSION POSSIBLE" 5K/1 mile Fun Run/Walk

COME TOGETHER IN PRAYER - OCT. 23, 2016

PRAYER is a primary work of God's people. It is a vital connection to God where we can hear from, listen to, and respond to the Lord. We encourage you to pray for these requests during the week.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer. (1 Peter 3:12)

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Frances Fountain is under hospice care.
  • Hoyt Laney is in the hospital.
  • Barb Yoder is in a rehab care home.
  • Protection for our military, revival in America, and God’s wisdom for the President and political leaders.

ELDER OF THE WEEK

  • Andy Griffis, his wife Fritzi, and their sons Nicholas and Alexander.

PASTOR OF THE WEEK

  • Tim Arrington, his wife Kathy, and their adult children, Aubrey (Eleon) Rodriguez and Daniel.

CHURCH OF THE WEEK

Prayer Requests: Please pray for us as we have recently lost several key families and individuals to other states. Also, we need God’s wisdom as we begin new avenues of ministry.

There are more concerns within the body at Christ Community Church. Please come to the Lobby Counter on Sunday for a more complete and detailed list of the people who are in need of your prayers. Contact Pastor Rick to update the Prayer List.

MISSIONARY OF THE MONTH

Tom & Linda Clinton with First Love International - First Love International is an interdenominational mission agency founded for the purpose of bringing the life-giving message of salvation through Jesus Christ to un-reached people residing in impoverished regions of the world. Tom and Linda Clinton are the founders and Tom serves as Executive Director and CEO, while Linda serves as Director of Women's and Children's Ministries.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray that God would draw individuals for our Winter Mission Trip, Jan. 14-29, 2017. We will be ministering in the Kibera slum of Nairobi, and especially need physicians, nurses, dentists, and dental hygienists. Please pray that God would reach all the children we minister to through the clinics and Kids’ Clubs with His hope of salvation and His love.
  • Please pray God would provide the funds and laborers for our building projects: Daraja House and 2 schools in the capital city of Nairobi.
  • Please pray for the health of all the children First Love cares for.
