May is Mental Health Awareness Month
To recognize mental health awareness month, Eagan High School is partnering with NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness). On May 16th NAMI will host a booth in the cafeteria where students can write words of encouragement to youth with a mental illness on cards with shoes on them. The idea behind the shoes is "walk a mile in my shoes" of someone living with a mental illness. The shoes will then be taped up on a banner so that students with mental illnesses know that they are supported and not alone.
NAMI provides many resources and education for young adults, families and friends living with mental illness. https://namimn.org/
