Curriculum Updates:

Cluster 5: Ask Questions to Infer is available in Eduphoria. You will notice the following:

  • All cluster planners now have a link to the video. There is also a new format for the videos so you can see the writers and the documents.
  • In grades 4 and 5, the cluster planners now include some guidance with "look for" answers for the cluster pre-assessments. The videos for these clusters provide additional guidance.

TEMI (Kinder only):

Administer Form B for mid-year math screener. (1st Grade - administer to specific students for SST purposes, if needed)

Process Standards Grid:

This grid can be used to support students with their thinking and communication during problem solving. The questions and sentence stems are color coded and align to the process standards on the rubric. (click here)

App for Math Manipulatives:

Schoolkit Math is a toolkit that gives you QUICK and EASY access to manipulatives that students commonly use in the classroom. This app has been loaded on the Student Learning Hub Symbaloo. How could you incorporate Schoolkit Math into your math workshop?

Due to sub shortages, the district is has made changes to the grade level curriculum PDs. Please cancel all subs that are currently scheduled for any grade level district PDs. Read below to find out how the new PDs will take place.

The district will be replacing the job-embedded math PDs with online PDs for teachers. Each PD will be done through Google Hangout on the designated dates. This will allow you to receive the PD as a team, and special program teachers can be a part of the learning (SpEd, DLC, Dyslexia, GT, etc).

The schedule for online math PDs:

  • January 14: 5th grade
  • January 21: 4th grade
  • February 11: 2nd grade
  • February 19: 3rd grade
  • February 25: 1st grade
  • March 22: Kinder

The district will be replacing the ELAR job-embedded PDs with morning PDs. They will take place from 7:30-8:30. If you are attending the PD, you will need to split your class with your teammates from 7:30 until you arrive on campus (by 9:00). Please see the schedule for the ELAR PDs below:

Science curriculum documents for the second semester will be uploaded to forethought by January 8th. The writers will be working on updating the spring semester on January 7th. If a document on Forethought shows that it is linked, then the lesson is ready. If there is not a link, then it is still being completed.
