Welcome to the Prairie Point Panther Press!
Off the Shelves: News from the LRC
Author Linda Ragsdale will visit Prairie Point's 1st and 2nd grade students on Friday, February 23rd. She will talk about her books and about her Peace Dragon program. We've decorated our LRC windows with Peace Dragon pictures to welcome her. All Prairie Point families are welcome to purchase her books. Check out her website: www.thepeacedragon.com
Start cleaning out those bookshelves at home, and donate books to our used book sale, to be held in March. Collection boxes will be located in the lobby and outside the LRC. I am accepting books from preschool through 5th grade; no YA or adult, please.
The Amazing Race has begun! This is an optional, friendly competition between teams of 4th and 5th grade students. The purpose of this is to increase geographical background knowledge, to research with a partner, and to have fun! Twenty-nine teams are competing this year. Winning team will be announced on the last day of school.
Thank you to Ethan Schrader for the book he donated to the LRC in celebration of his birthday.
