- A video will need to be made (as per last year) recognizing these infamous athletes and their contributions.
- Students will help facilitate vending of food/drinks. Proceeds go to the student groups and our Positive Behavior Program.

The Harlem Wizards are coming!
We are excited to announce that on Monday January 29, the Harlem Wizards will be visiting Maplewood Middle School to put on a show for our community. The Harlem Wizards are a Sports Entertainment group who put on a show using Basketball as main source of entertainment. From the oohs and ahhs of slam dunks, jaw dropping dribble displays, and ridiculous trick shots, coupled with the comedy, audience participation, the spontaneity delivered as a world class show, in an intimate setting, its sure to be a night that will be treasured.
The game will feature members of the Harlem Wizards team, competing and performing with Local teachers, coaches, police officers and community leaders. Maplewood Middle School will be the only place you need to be on Monday January 29.
Tickets for this event can be purchased by going to:

Maplewood Middle School Remind App Code @k92d29
This year, the MMS Principal has added a school-wide "Remind App" as another way to communicate with families. Many of your child's teachers will share Remind class codes for you and your child to stay up to date about class events and assignments. As needed, the MMS Principal will periodically use the Remind App to share important info with our school community. Our Maplewood Middle School school-wide code Remind code is listed above (@k92d29). The link below explains how to begin getting notifications. It's a simple way to stay in touch. Join us!

Great job musicians! Last week was a great week for our music program. Ms. Chiliministris and Mr. Balas did a wonderful job! We enjoyed watching our Orchestra and Band students perform. Here are our 8th grade band students! | Provide us with feedback! Below is the link for the parent/guardian survey. A separate email will be sent out next week. Our goal is to hear from at least 40% of our families. We want to hear from you! | Re-imagining the MMS Media Center While at Deloitte last week for a conference, I took some photos of the classroom space and the innovation room which have served as inspiration for our new space. More to come. Let's turn our media center into something amazing for the MMS community! |
