## Example of a Parallelogram With Work

We set the two equations with the same variables equal to each other. For solving for the variable "y", we added 7 and subtracted 1y to each side and got y=6. For solving for x, we divided 2 on both sides and got x=2.

## Example of Trapezoid With Work

A trapezoid has 2 parallel sides and 2 congruent sides. If angle C (the given angle) equals 50 then you automatically know that angle F equals the same. Angle C and angle D together equal 180. By subtracting 50 from 180 you get 130. Angle D and angle E equal 130. They are congruent and angle E plus angle F equal 180.

## Kites

A kite is a quadrilateral with two pairs of consecutive sides congruent and no opposite sides congruent. Its diagonals are are perpendicular.

## Example of Kite With Work

Angle 1 always equals 90 . Angle 3 is equal to the angle adjacent to it. Angle 3 equals 52. Angle 1, angle 2, and angle 3 added together equal 180. By adding like terms, 52 plus 90, you get 142. Then by subtracting 142 from 180 you get the measurement of angle 2, which is 38.
