Old Lesson Plans
Essential tasks to be completed
Lesson Plans for Week of March 30-April 3rd
Reading (each day): Read "King Midas and the Golden Touch" in reading story twice (the third we will do together with assigned speaking parts on our Zoom time), complete one reading sequencing sheet, one summarizing sheet of your choice. and do the King Midias reading assignment. Spread them out and do one sheet a day. Extra reading read 15 minutes of your choice.
Math (each day): see tabs for worksheets for the week. We will be working on double and triple digit addition and subtraction with regrouping and borrowing. If you cannot print, write out the problems on another piece of paper. There are 2 sheets for you do practice. Another day do the patterns, and the last do relate multiplication and division. See tab for link to videos. Also, explore the Math links for games on this topic.
Language (2 days): tear these out of workbooks. See tab for videos to help students work through the pages. Students will complete p.93-96
Handwriting (2 days): tear these out of workbooks. Students will complete p.112-115.
Science/Social Studies (1 day each): these two classes will be 2 activities for this week. Science- we will study animal and plant adaptations. See tabs for more information on this. Social Studies- in your textbook read through Chapter 7- Lesson 1 p.244-247. Work on Bils of Rights activity on a piece of paper.
Journal (each day): I would like you to either type or write on a paper a journal entry each day of your thoughts during this home school experience. Include activities you are doing, separate from these lesson plans. What do you like about this? What do you miss about school? You can draw a picture, too, or include a photo for the day.

Math: Print Lesson 14.5 worksheet and do with me as your watch video. Complete all pages. Put in red folder when done.

Social Studies: Social Studies- in your textbook read through Chapter 7- Lesson 2 "Duties of Citizens" p.248-251. Click on tab below for writing activity.

TUESDAY

Science: Open tab under Science that says Physical Adaptations Lab and print sheets. Then, watch video to create frog. Next, do lab and answer questions.

Social Studies: In Social Studies book, read Lesson 3 Being a Good Citizen p.252-257. Choose either Jimmy Carter, Rosa Parks, or Dolores Huerta to write 3-5 sentences why they are a good citizen. Be sure to use examples from your text.

Lesson Plans for Week of April 20-24
Bible Study: Grab your Bible and click on April 20th Devotion to learn about what the 4th commandment means.
Reading: Bring your "Ralph S. Mouse" and listen as I read out loud chapter 5 p.77-86. Print out p.14 and complete from packet.
Math: Watch "Math Antics- Polygons" video to understand what a polygon is. Then, click on pdf below "Polygon Sort". Students need to only print p.6 to fill out. They will look at each shape on p.3-5 and check whether it is a polygon or not and describe next to shape.
Social Studies: Click on link below to take open book test on Chapter 7.

Math: Watch video on Congruent and Not Congruent Figures. Then Print 15.4 p.503-504 ONLY and complete. (DO NOT DO #3 and 5)
Science: Click on the tabs under Science to watch a video and pick 1 activity to do. There are 3 activities listed and you get to pick which ONE you want to do. Have fun!

Math: Watch video by Mrs. David on what a 3-D solid is. Print the tab called "Three-Dimensional Solid" and complete.
Handwriting: Students will complete p.124-125, Capital cursive P and R.
**It's National Earth Day, get outside and if you want, enjoy an activity. OPTIONAL, see below if you have extra time.

Language: Watch video on Lesson 93 p.103-104. Students complete these pages. Use these as a review for test tomorrow.
Handwriting: Students will complete p.126-127, Capital cursive B and Joinings.

Math: Hum and sing along to the song "Perimeter" to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell". Next, watch Intro to Perimeter video. Then, select one activity from the Choice Board.
Social Studies: Click on google form below to take quiz. You can use your flipbook you made last week or your book to complete.
