Update Preferences Before Winter Weather
As WDMCS prepares for potential weather-related dismissals this school year, all families need to update their preferences within Blackboard, the district's new communication system.
You will need to log into the link below using your Infinite Campus username and click the "forget password" link to reset your password in this new system. View the brief video tutorial below for the simple steps to update your preferences.
The test emergency communication is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29. We will send out email, text, app, phone, and social media notices.
Valleyfest Celebrates 40 Years
This year marked the 40th year for Valleyfest. We hosted 36 bands from Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. One of the most incredible things about Valleyfest is the way that an army of student and parent volunteers coordinates the arrival, setup, performance, and departure of over 6,000 visiting performers and adults in and around Valley Stadium.
Planning begins months before the event. On the day of Valleyfest, bands arrive as early as 6:30 a.m. The event continues throughout the day with awards for the evening show finishing around 11 p.m. Valleyfest is recognized as one of the premier marching band competitions in the Midwest, with many bands returning to join a celebration of marching band excellence.
