Uluru Art Inspired by The Outback

Annaliese Porter and Bronwyn Bancroft

"On Uluru there are many shades on the rocky eye-

browns and reds mingling into

a rich earthy dye"

Class 2O recently explored the picture book The Outback written by 9 year old Annaliese Porter and illustrated by the wonderful Bundjalung artist Bronwyn Bancroft. The students studied the texture, perspective, colours and techniques used in the illustration of Uluru on pages 14/15. They loved the process and were very pleased with their final artworks which look fantastic on the display boards in our school hallway!
