Wren Elementary ---November 30, 2015
I hope all of you have had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Mrs. Lorey and I are looking forward to seeing all of our "babies" tomorrow :)! The next 3 weeks will be super busy! It's always a fun time in K4! Thank you for all of your donations to help us out with holiday activities with our students!
Important Information
- This week's Captain of the Week was Mattie! Way to go, Mattie!
- I sent home Scholastic Books on the Tuesday before we left. I hope you had time to enjoy them with your kids over the holiday. We will not do a December order because of the limited time we are here. We will resume orders in January.
- Our Class jar is halfway full. We are looking forward to filling it up and having an ice cream sundae party.
- Those who went on the fieldtrip with us to May-Lan may be wondering how we did in guessing the total weight of the pigs. We guessed 1850. The correct weight was 1530. Westminster Elementary won the pizza party with a guess of 1527 pounds.
- The 8-week Reading Challenge has been a great way to spend time with your child while helping them learn literacy skills. I'm excited that The ASD1 Literacy Coordinator decided to do this. Please make sure that ALL challenges are completed and returned by 11/27 for your child to be eligible for prizes. Thanks again for your participation!
- Thursday, December 3 from 6-8 pm will be the next Skate Night for Wren Elementary. The cost is $3.
- Don't forget that you can go to the My Big World link and see the digital magazine with your child. Here is the link: http://clifford.scholastic.com/ The password is Catsteak702
- Christmas Holidays are December 21-January 1. Students will return to school on January 4.
