Kia ora e te whānau,

The end of the term is approaching fast and we have been busy planning EOTC (Education outside the classroom) week which is next week.

We have a number of activities planned which should be a lot of fun! Wednesday we be going down to the gully for a picnic and a play. We would love it if you could join us.

Then on Monday the 12th Pounamu are planning a trip to Battle Hill in Porirua. We are looking forward to exploring our wider Wellington area, not to mention feeding the eels!

A newsletter with permission slips will be sent home tomorrow with more details about these.

Ngā mihi,

Pounamu Teachers.

We have been really pleased with how swimming lessons are going. The children have been fantastic, learning lots and well behaved. We are also pleased with the quality of the swimming lessons.

Swimming continues all this week, including Friday.

Year 4 - 2023

The teachers have begun planning what the year 4 programme will look like for 2023.

We are finalising which teachers will be working with this group. The year 4s are to be based in Rooms 4 & 5. They will be working collaboratively together, separately most of the time from the y2/3s. We are looking forward to it being an exciting and challenging year for them.

Hats - Ngā Pōtae/Sunscreen

Term 4 is a hat wearing term. All children are expected to wear a wide brim hat outside when playing. Hats are available for purchase from the office.

If you have a child that needs sunscreen we appreciate it if you could put this on in the morning. We have some spare sunscreen for top ups if needed too.

No Nuts!!

Pounamu syndicate is NUT FREE. This means no nuts or nut products including nutella and muesli bars with nuts in them.

We appreciate your co-operation.
