School Material Drop Off (DATE CHANGE)

There are items that you may have that the school will need to be returned soon. To make it manageable for our staff to collect and to document items returned, we will be doing the drop off on two different days based on the last name. Each day drop off times will be 9AM-12PM and then again from 1PM-4PM

Last Name A-L: Tuesday, May 26

Last Name M-Z: Wednesday, May 27

****If you have children at both MES and MMS, these days align to middle school drop off too.

Below is the list of materials for each grade that need to be returned:

Report Cards

We plan to send home report cards the week of June 1. When seeing your child's report card, Trimester 3 is considered our Remote Learning time. Students will receive Pass (P) or Incomplete (I) on report cards. You will see the following comments when a child receives either of these grades:

  • I= The student has not turned in work or has turned in minimal work (not enough to provide a rating of Pass) during remote learning.

  • P= The student has provided sufficient evidence for passing during remote learning.

Your child's teacher should have already contacted you if your child may get an Incomplete. Students will receive a passing grade if they completed 60% of the learning activities in their subject areas. If not, then an Incomplete will be documented.

Please note that an Incomplete does not mean a student has failed. It simply is to document the learning engagement during Remote Learning this Spring. All students will be moving onto the next grade level next year.

OLSAT Testing for Grades 2nd and 5th

2nd and 5th graders will also receive results of the OLSAT test with their Report Cards.

This group-administered multiple-choice test measures reasoning skills including verbal, non-verbal, spatial, and quantitative reasoning measures abstract thinking. This gives educators insight to go along with achievement testing. Millburn often uses as a universal screener for gifted programs. This assessment was given in February.

After receiving your report, if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Stream at

Virtual Field Day

We are excited to announce our 2020 Virtual Field Day that will take place on May 26th and 27th. Next week we will be sending the event cards as well as what supplies and equipment you might need. All of these things can be found around the house. During the event times we encourage you to try one or all ten of the events that are shared with you. We will have a Padlet page that you will be able to upload pictures and videos to so that we can share our experience together! We hope for this to be a fun way to end this school year!
