Winter Reading & Math Challenges

We sent home a flyer this week over reading and math challenges during the winter break. This is to encourage students to continue reading over the break as well as practice their math skills. Take a look at the flyer and we would appreciate you encouraging your child to participate! Thank you! :-)

iPad Care

Please make sure your child works hard over the break to take care of their iPad. We suggest you help them open the Otterbox to give it a good clean! Remember to use a dry cloth to wipe the screen. We also appreciate your help in making sure they charge their iPad and bring it back to school when we return on January 3rd!

Mindset

Take a look at the mindset table below. No one is 100% growth minded...we find that we are fix minded in some areas. We thought this table was a great visual on mindset.

LEAD WITH GCISD

Two weeks ago, the GCISD Education Foundation visited schools and awarded teachers with grants. The application process for these grants is strenuous but totally worth it! Funds are used to make our schools and classrooms more innovative. Take a look at the pictures of those who were awarded by clicking on the link below. You might see some familiar faces!
