Families,
Thank you for all of your patience, love, support and partnership. This month has brought many changes to all of our lives, together we have embraced this challenge and made it possible for our students to continue learning in various different ways outside of our normal classrooms. I know that this has not been easy and sometimes probably a little frustrating, thank you for working together as a team. Please be assured that we are here to help and support you on this journey. In this newsletter there will be various resources to support and help you navigate education at home with your learner. You are doing an outstanding job and I appreciate all that you are doing! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns or ideas.
Thank you for all of your help!

FUN WITH SPECIALISTS
Families,
Are you wondering how to fit specialists into your daily/weekly schedule? During the school year, students have specialists every day and this allows for some time for the students to explore other areas of academics. They are able to be active, creative, musical and use their imaginations. For many students, this is a time in the day where they can just relax and take a much needed brain break. We realize that with work schedules and daily life commitments, finding time may be very difficult. We do not want to add more stress to your day. We are here to partner with you and support distance learning in any way that we can. Here are some ideas of how you can incorporate a quick 15 minute specialist break into your day.
Break your day up by doing work for a ½ hour to an hour, doing a quick activity and then continuing on with your work.
Start your morning off with a 15 minute specialist activity
Doing an activity on a Saturday or Sunday
Tying in the specialist activity to a classroom assignment
Going on a walk, bike ride, etc.
Painting rocks, drawing with sidewalk chalk, etc,
Exploring new books, learn about authors, read poetry, etc.
Here is a video to help you find the specialist tabs in Seesaw.
