This is our final week of school! I hope you had a wonderful year. I want you to know that we worked very hard to do our best for our kids. There were many challenges, but I believe our children are future ready. The kids came to school and acted with tolerance, empathy, and kindness. I want our parents to know you are appreciated and we thank you for all of your support!

This summer, I plan to unwind and recharge my batteries. I plan to do things around the house and sit on the beach whenever possible. I will work with our team to best move our school forward. I am excited for our implementation of the Leader in Me series in the fall. We will be teaching our students and staff how to become your best version through the ideals inherent in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People/Teens.

Senior parents, PLEASE be sure all of your child's obligations are met. We will remind our seniors at practice on Wednesday. Students must have them fulfilled in order to walk on Thursday.

Practice will begin at 7:30 am SHARP on Wednesday. I ask that all seniors arrive 15 minutes prior to ensure an orderly and timely process. We will seat our students accordingly and review the respective ceremony and expectations. Following, students will receive their cap and gowns to be used for the Senior Walk that day. Senior Walk will begin promptly at 9:45 am. ALL seniors must fill out a parent permission slip in order to participate. Students who attended East Dover will walk to the school from HSE. Students who attended Cedar Grove and/or Hooper Elementary will take a bus from East to the respective schools. Students who attended an elementary school other than the above three are permitted to drive to their respective school. The Senior Walk will end about 10:30 a.m.

We will hold our final graduation practice on Thursday at 7:30 am. We will hold our Senior Breakfast before practice and then conclude with a review of the ceremony details and expectations. Seniors who do not show for the practice will not be permitted to walk at the ceremony. Tickets and handicap parking permits will be given to the kids following practice.

Graduation will take place at East on the football field at 1:00 PM. If we observe inclement weather, we will communicate changes to our start time via the SENIOR REMIND APP and a Robo Call. All graduates are expected to arrive by 12:00 PM. Handicap parking will be provided on the Band field (directly between the senior lot and football field). Designated seating will be located on the top and bottom of the bleachers. If you need assistance in any way, please contact Mr. Tom Regan. We will have golf carts available to transport guests in need of support.

East will be under major construction this summer as part of our Referendum work. However, the Main Office will be open between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm through July 8, 2022. Beginning July 11, 2022 through August 19, 2022, our summer hours will change to 7 am - 3 pm Monday through Thursday. The district will be closed on Fridays.

Our Freshman Orientation is tentatively scheduled for August 29, 2022.
