The De Zavala Eagle Pledge
As an Eagle I will do the best to be my best.
I am in charge of the choices I make.
I will treat others the way I would like to be treated.
I am safe, I am kind, I am accountable, I am a scholar.
Congratulations to our 2022 Teacher of the Year!
Kindergarten Field Trip
Harvard educated historian Carter G. Woodson, with a vision of equality and transformation for Black Americans, wanted to raise awareness of gifted writers, musicians and artists like Langston Hughes, Louis Armstrong and Lois Jones so he created Negro History Week in February 1926. He wanted to show that Black American's played important parts in American history and therefore deserved to have the same rights.
