A Message from Principal Marchant
As the year comes to an end, I want to wish all of our families a safe and fun summer. Just as the end of this school year has been filled with fun, I hope that families (and friends!) are reconnecting with each other in fun ways over the summer months! We look forward to seeing our current 6th and 7th graders again next year. And the 8th graders hopefully feel as if we have sent them on their way with lots of end of year memories and heartfelt sentiments! They are forever a part of the Coolidge community - we always welcome them back!
I want to also send a heartfelt thank you to all of our parents/ caregivers. Through challenges, imperfections, celebrations, pandemics, and randomness, I feel that we are able to communicate and collaborate with a shared focus on student well-being. Thank you for your support, and for working with me (and Ms. Karow, and all of the Coolidge staff) to get our students through the bumps and joys that are inevitable (and some very unpredictable) in middle school. We know you send your children to school every day with trust, and we take our responsibilities therein seriously.
Ms. Karow, Ms. Zanni and I are in the office (and sometimes on vacation) throughout the summer, so feel free to reach out with any questions or needs!
Have a WONDERFUL summer!
-Mrs. Marchant

Summer Math Packets
The Parker and Coolidge math department has put together optional summer math packets for our grade level students. Each packet is a review of the math learned this year with a focus on the skills that will be built upon in the next year. We wanted to provide these for families to access this summer if you so choose. The link to the google drive is below.
These packets are optional, but teachers might chose to use them next year to give out some bonus points at the beginning of the year.

Free & Reduced Lunch Application & *SHARE FORM
In a typical year, the cost of meals are free or reduced for those who qualify using the "Free & Reduced Lunch" application. The application actually has more benefits than just breakfast/ lunch. If families fill out the form (p. 11), as well as the "Share" form on page 10, then those who qualify can also qualify for assistance for things like after school activities and field trips.
If you are someone who thinks you may qualify, please consider filling it out so that we can help you in various areas over the course of the year! We can't actually help without this form! Click here to access the form.

Last Day (June 21) Plan
We have one special event to share that day: our FIRST ALL-SCHOOL ASSEMBLY since the pandemic began. We will celebrate those staff who are leaving, celebrate our 8th graders, and will enjoy an 8th grade slide show together.
8th graders will then have an 8th grade assembly, where they will be given subject awards. 6th and 7th grades will do team-based activities. 8th graders will also have additional time to sign each other's yearbooks. And then the day will end!
We hope to see everyone all of these last few days, but wanted to make sure caregivers were aware that we DO have plans for everyone for the 21st.
