Student Care Line

If students are concerned about one of their peers, they can reach out through our Student Care Line, formerly known as Text a Tip. Power Outage

Here is a copy of the email that went out earlier today:

Good Morning Seco Families,

You may have heard via text from your child that we did experience a power outage this morning for about an hour and twenty minutes. Our backup system did come on for approximately 30 minutes as intended. Seco staff were working with district staff to ensure students remained safe and basic needs could be provided. District personnel were also working with Southern California Edison (SCE) staff to ensure power could be brought back up to the campus.

At nutrition students were able to get food from the cafeteria and restrooms were available. Staff was working diligently to get a back-up plan in place IF we had needed to release students early. We want to assure you that while we did not have the ability to communicate or take phone calls, administrators were on cell phones working with the district so that plan and process could have been communicated to parents, should there have been a need to dismiss.

Thankfully, just before 10 a.m. the power came back on, facilities have been checked and the kitchen is preparing food for lunch service. We appreciate and thank all of our students and staff for working with us during the time of the power outage and are grateful that SCE was able to rectify the issue.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Seco Administration
