Genius Hour

This year many of our learners are wanting to learn more about different cultures. So far we have enjoyed learning about Texas, Japanese, and Venezuelan food!! If this is something you would be interested in participating in, please join us for our next Genius Hour, Friday, December 18th as we participate in a traditional reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas and create holiday crafts!

Helping Hands

Make sure to check our school's website and calendar for volunteer opportunities and events. It is so nice to see our wonderful families helping out! We still needing help in the salad bar AND parent support in one of our Genius Hour groups: the soccer club. We are in search of a parent to supervise the soccer group as they work together to stay healthy, speak English, and teach each other the sport of Soccer. Please contact me if interested and I will help you get started! Thank you to our parents that are volunteering. It is so great to see you during the day participating in our learning community!

NO Walk to School Wednesday This Week!

We will not be having our "walk to school Wednesday" this week due to our School wide special event to see the "Peanuts" movie! We want to thank our wonderful PTO for providing the funds that will allow us all to go. All students need to dress up, or in your Sunday best for this Holiday field trip. It's going to be so much fun! After the movie, students will return to campus for their class parties.

Winter Break

Just a reminder we will not have school December 21- January 1, 2016. Happy Holidays and we will see you next year! Enjoy your break!

Raz-Kids for Reading

All students should have a Raz-Kids account assigned to them. This is accessible from any computer at home, the public library, etc. This is an easy way for learners to continue working on reading and comprehension skills over the break. Please ask your child's teacher if you need their log in info.
