APRIL & MAY
We would like to thank everyone who bid on our student’s beautiful artwork during our Art Auction! We are happy to report that all artwork has been collected by it’s new owners and the money collected helped raise $745 for the PTO! Also, thank you for coming out and dining with us for McTeacher Night! The children had a blast seeing their friends and favorite teachers at McDonalds! This event also raised over $700+ for the PTO! We are so grateful for our wonderful teachers and staff who made this super fun evening possible!
Finally, please come out to the races for our last PTO sponsored event of the year, Dads, Dogs & a Derby, which will take place on the ECEC playground on April 30th at 3pm. Information will be coming home soon! Thanks to your unwavering support this year we will be able to continue to help provide educational resources and materials for our children’s classrooms!
Our last PTO meeting will be on Thursday, May 5th, at 5pm. However, if you cannot make the meetings, but still want to express your ideas/concerns, please feel free to contact our new PTO President, Kendra Edelen, at edelenk@troy.k12.mo.us, so that we can add them to our next meeting’s agenda. Also, if you would like to receive our emails and/or monthly newsletter, please email Shannon McCarty Nixon, our PTO secretary at Camden.braxton@gmail.com. Thank you!

READING CALENDAR
The Nightly Reading Record Sheet is an amazing way to make sure reading is a priority in your house. When your child returns any monthly reading calendar completely filled in, at any time, they will receive a fun book. If they complete 6 calendars in the school year, they will get to pick a book from our “library,” Ms. Kelly will read it to them, and then they get to take it home. The Record sheet can be found and printed here http://www.troy.k12.mo.us/domain/88
