ReadQuest 2017
On March 3rd, PSJA Memorial students participated in the nationwide challenge ReadQuest sponsored by Renaissance. During this reading initiative, students from across the country were encouraged to read and test on as many AR quizzes as possible. This year's theme was "Your Passport to Reading Adventures" and we ran with the theme! Students came in during their lunch periods and read and tested on books, took pictures in our Photo Booth, participated in give-aways and received some treats. It was a fun day indeed!

Track of Hope
The GROWL Book Club participated in PSJA's Track of Hope. Our club was assigned ovarian cancer. Members used MackinVia to research this devastating cancer. They then created informational flyers to pass out at the walk. Additionally, students decorated in the color peach, which represents ovarian cancer, had a bean bag toss game and passed out water bottles. It was a great community service project to participate in.
Maker Space STEM
Students had the opportunity to learn while having fun. The challenge was to try to create the tallest tower using 100 cups in 1 minute.
Winners were:
"A" Lunch Kris Mares 53" Tower, Leslie Mann 52" Tower
"B" Lunch Jose Hinojosa 52" Tower, Jackie Salinas 33" Tower
