PERSONAL STATEMENTS AND INTERVIEW WORKSHOPS
The University of Arizona's College of Medicine has invited us to their Applicant Information Session Series. SEE THE FLYER BELOW
Why should you attend?
The application process for PA schools can be very lengthy! Not only do you have to answer questions for each college but you also have to include references, personal statements, and extracurricular activities! The most overwhelming portion of the process is the personal statment, which hopefullty leads to your interview. Being prepared for each step is one of the best ways to ensure you have tried your hardest to get accepted into your dream school.
If you plan on attending these workshops feel free to add your name to the following sign up sheet! WE WILL NOT BE GOING AS A GROUP, but I would like a head count for Lori Vargo the coordinator of the events.
Wednesday, April 6th, 4pm
1501 North Campbell Avenue
"ASTEC ranks among the highest nationally in terms of the number of unique learners and the number of unique sessions, providing a wide range of simulation activities throughout the full spectrum of healthcare providers."
We will be touring ASTEC this April! Make sure you have paid dues if you'd like to attend this event. If you are an active member (4 points) and have paid dues feel free to sign up! The first 8 members to sign up will be able to attend. We will notify you the week of if we have any spots open up. DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF YOU CAN ATTEND.
Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF)
"Held every Wednesday night from 6:00pm–8:00pm at SAAF, this is a volunteer work party in a fun and social setting. Projects vary depending on agency needs, but typically feature hands-on work such as bulk mailings or assembling condom packets. Groups are encouraged to RSVP ahead of time, but individuals are welcome to just drop in and help. WIW is a great way to meet other volunteers and to get to know SAAF."
***This is not through the club so feel free to attend whenever you can. If you have questions feel free to contact the club email or SAAF directly. If you show proof you attended this event you will receive a point!
BE A (PULSE) CAT AMBASSADOR
PULSE Ambassadors represent the Pre-Health Professions Advising Center. They are a select group of students chosen because of their involvement and interest in health care, overall academic and leadership experiences, campus and community involvement, and communication and leadership skills in working with their peers. They work with the Pre-Health Professions Advising staff to provide program support to pre-health students. Their primary tasks include assisting pre-health advisors in recruitment and outreach activities, workshops, and events.
