A Note From Our Principal

Hello GVPLA Families,


Fall has arrived. School at GVP has somehow already been in school for six weeks! Along with the cooler temperatures comes some days off for scholars. Please note that we have several days off of school coming up this month. Families also please take the time to complete our parent survey. This will allow us to better serve you and your scholars.


As always it is a pleasure to serve as your School Leader!

Parents In Touch Day is October 13

Parents In Touch (PIT) Day is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Conference time notices were sent home with your scholar today. It is expected that a parent or guardian attend PIT day for each scholar. All conferences must be in person. Phone conferences will not be permitted.


This will be an e-learning day for our scholars. Teachers will send home packets on Tuesday for scholars to complete. These packets will be due back on Thursday.

Dress To Impress Day is October 12

Our next Dress To Impress Day is scheduled for this Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Scholars are encouraged to dress up. If scholars decide to not participate, they must be in uniform. Please see below for guidance on how to dress for this event.


GIRLS

  • Dress, Skirt /Pants with a Nice Top (dresses & skirts must be an appropriate length & should not be tight-fitting).
  • No shorts, capris, or any apparel made of JEANS or JEAN-LIKE material.
  • Shoes: No High Heels; Only Shoes with Low Heels or Flats (shoes = strap or an enclosed heel; NO backless shoes or sandals)


BOYS

  • Collared Shirt
  • Ties are optional
  • Nice pants with a belt
  • Nice shoes
  • Suits & / or Jackets optional
  • No shorts, capris, or any apparel made of JEANS or JEAN-LIKE material

Fall Break is October 18 to October 22

Our fall break is scheduled from October 18 to October 22. Please enjoy this week with your scholars. We look forward to seeing everyone back on October 25, 2021. If you are in need of child care during fall break, please see the flyer below.

Pacers Fan Jam

Tip off the 2021 Indiana Pacers season by attending FanJam presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, October 10.

This free, open-to-the-public event is a chance for Pacers fans to see the 2021-22 Pacers team. Enjoy appearances by the Pacemates, Boomer and the Power Pack with fun giveaways for the first 5,000 fans. Click the photo below to claim your FREE tickets.
