If the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, what season is occurring in Texas?

It would be summer in the northern hemisphere, texas, and winter in the southern hemisphere.

A student was looking at a model of the Sun and Earth system. What change would occur if Earth was not tilted on its axis?

Earth is at a point in its orbit where it is not tilted toward or away from the Sun. What season could it be in the northern hemisphere? What is the next season that it might transition into?

If the southern hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, which area of Earth will have the longest days and the shortest nights?

What lunar phase directly follows a waxing crescent?

What moon phase occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon form a right triangle, and the Moon is moving towards the Sun?

Label the eight phases of the moon.

Draw a diagram of a neap tide and a separate diagram of a spring tide.

As a star collapses and creates a black hole, the mass of the star stays the same, but the volume decreases. What effect does the change in volume have on the density of the black hole?

What is a galaxy made up of?

How does the distance of the Sun from Earth compare to the distances of other stars from Earth?

How long does it take for light from the Sun to reach Earth’s surface?

How do astronomers define a light year?

Ms. Harris was performing a science experiment with her 8th grade science class. In this experiment, she combined an unknown solid with an unknown liquid (solid A and liquid C) in an Erlenmeyer flask and obtained the following results: Solution color changes from blue to yellow. The solid got smaller. Solution temperature changed from 70°C to 90°C. Bubbles were forming in the beaker. All of the following are evidence that a new substance is formed when solid A reacts with liquid C except for: I. Solution color changes from blue to yellow II. The solid got smaller III. The solution temperature changed from 70°C to 90°C IV. Bubbles were forming in the beaker
