Where to find HELP
Communication
Spring Break Reminder
Students, parents, and facilitators received reminder regarding GaVS Spring Break and the Spring Break Policy.
Assignment Reminder Emails
Each Assignment Due Date week, students and parents receive a courtesy reminder email of assignments that are due by the end of the week.
Late Penalty
Within the newsletters, students are reminded of the late penalty policy.
Student Examples
A lot of my students are visual learners - especially with this being an online environment. To help them to get an idea of the type of work to submit, I provide examples throughout the course to aid them to be successful.
Differentiation
Incorporating real-world videos is another way to help students with content.
Checklist to Success
After noting what failing students were not consistently doing, I created a checklist that is posted on the bulletin board of each coarse as a reminder.
Second Chances
Differentiating the product is something that is not naturally embedded in an online course. As a result of knowing students and the different learning styles, they are also given the opportunity to show what they know in a different manner.
Classroom Bulletin
The Classroom Bulletin is where I post a lot of important and frequently asked questions. I have also included a countdown to remind them of the next due date.

Conditionally Released News Items
I incorporate released items that are tailored specifically for each group so they will see information that pertains to them only.
Course Help
A number of students breeze through or opt out of the Student Orientation Course, which is designed to help them to navigate their courses successfully. This padlet was created to direct them to the proper source to get help and answer questions on navigating the course once they were successfully enrolled.
