Red Wolfs are found in the coastal plains of North Carolina. They like the wet marshy areas.
One reason the red wolf is in danger of extinction is because of habitat loss. The habitat is being destroyed due human development. Another reason is climate change because it is making sea level rise and destroying where the wolves live.
People have tried cutting off a section where humans can't build on to give the wolves some space for there habitat, They are also trying to move the wolves more inland so sea level rising doesn't affect them and there habitats.
